The challenge: to create a funny, female-driven comedy special people would be excited about at the end of 2020. The challenge: well, it was 2020. Covid was raging, everyone was angry, and shoots were severely limited. The solution: Yearly Departed, a 1-hour comedy special starring Tiffany Haddish, Zwie, Sarah Silverman, Natasha Leggero, and more. The concept was simple: some of the leading women comics hold a funeral for 2020. I participated in a freelance capacity, and contributed jokes and writing from afar, because, Covid.
